Pato is an Architect & Visual Artist from Santiago, Chile.
He has worked as an accomplished architect and designer for the last 8+ years in New York City at OMA, PAU and Balmori Associates, being involved in the design process and development of major projects such as the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Expansion in Cleveland, the New Hobson College in Princeton University, the Albright Knox Gundlach Art Museum in Buffalo, Tiffany’s Flagship 5th Ave. Store in Manhattan, a pedestrian bridge in Jojutla, Mexico, a Dior Retrospective for the Denver Art Museum, among other projects. Additionally, Pato has contributed as Architectural Visual Editor for a New York Times Opinion Article (“How to Make Room for One Million New Yorkers”) and a book published by Rizzoli titled - “OMA : NY Search Term”.
As a visual artist, Pato is ongoing experimentations with his creative heart, having completed sold out series of hand drawings, prints and other formats, collaborated with FerVania Brewing Company, the sneaker designer Shoe Surgeon, published his first picture book for children - “Tayta Noel, la historia de la otra Navidad” alongside his friend Leonidas McNeil and publisher Grupo Planeta in November 2023. A year later, Pato published a second book titled "The Claus Brothers", alongside Maria Fe Castro Rey and Penguin Random House. Set to surpass 12,000 sold books on pre-sale, all profits of the first edition will go to MakeAWish Foundation.
He is also Creative Consultant and Partner at Rain4est, a film production company established in 2023. Currently, the firm is spearheading a family-friendly full length Christmas movie focused on Santa’s twin brother from the summer southern hemisphere: “The Other Brother”.
He currently resides and works in Manhattan, New York.
